Women's College World Series Canceled

Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, the 2020 Women's College World Series (WCWS) has been canceled, as well as the championships in all other NCAA sports, the NCAA announced Thursday afternoon.
"This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, our ability to ensure the events do not contribute to the spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time in the academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities," the NCAA announced in a statement.
Before the NCAA's decision to cancel the WCWS, 17 Division-I conferences had their spring seasons impacted by COVID-19, either from suspensions or cancellations of their seasons.
Those conferences included the CAA, Pac-12, SEC, WAC, NEC, Missouri Valley, Big West, Mountain West, Southland, Summit, ACC, SWAC, Conference USA, American, Ivy League, Patriot League and MAAC.
