USSSA Pride To Play First Games Since Withdrawing From NPF

The USSSA Pride will take the field on Friday for the first time since becoming an independent professional softball team back in September, when the organization announced its decision to cut ties with the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF).
Beginning Friday night, the Pride will face the softball teams from the University of Florida and Florida State University in two exhibition contests. USSSA will face Florida first, as they are scheduled to take on the Gators at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, before facing the Seminoles on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.
Both games will take place at the Pride's Space Coast Complex in Viera, Fla.
Florida and Florida State will also face off in an exhibition game at the Space Coast Complex this weekend. That contest will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.

The Pride spent the last 11 seasons as members of the NPF and captured five Cowles Cup championships during their time as affiliates of the professional softball league. USSSA's final title in the NPF was won in August when the squad swept the Chicago Bandits in the 2019 NPF Championship Series. USSSA never missed the postseason during its tenure in the NPF.
