With a current record of 6-0 at the 2019 U-17 Women's Pan-American Championship in Barranquilla, Colombia, the USA Softball U-17 women’s national team heads into the final game of the tournament's Super Round on the cusp of a title.

The Americans will face Puerto Rico on Friday in their last game before the final, which will take place on Saturday between the top two teams from the Super Round. The tournament's third and fourth ranked squads will play for the bronze on Saturday.

The tournament started with 10 teams that were attempting to qualify for the first-ever World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Women's Softball World Cup, which will take place next year. The top five squads in the Pan-American Championship final standings will earn spots in the 2020 World Cup.

During pool play at the 2019 Pan-American Championship, Team USA collected convincing wins over Peru, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. After advancing to the Super Round, the Americans took down Canada and Colombia ahead of their last game before the final.

The 2019 U.S. team is comprised of 15 players from various places around the United States. The American squad is led by head coach Kyla Holas, who is assisted by Becky Snow and Ernie Yarbrough.

Fans can watch the tournament's remaining games via live stream through the WBSC channel on YouTube and the WBSC OTT platform Game Time.
