USA Softball Announces University Of Alabama Tour Stop

USA Softball has announced a stop at the University of Alabama as part of the 2020 Olympic team's "Stand Beside Her" tour of exhibition games leading up to July's Olympics in Tokyo.
The stop will take place at Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala. on March 31 at 6:30 p.m. CT. It will feature a single exhibition game between the 2020 U.S. national softball team and the Alabama Crimson Tide. The game will mark a homecoming for Team USA outfielder Haylie McCleney, who graduated from Alabama in 2016 after a standout career on the Crimson Tide softball team.
“The passion of the Alabama fans is second to none,” McCleney said in a USA Softball press release. “Not only are they knowledgeable about the game, but they show up in huge numbers and relentlessly support all players, no matter the team. It's loud, it’s crazy, it’s surreal. It’s the best atmosphere in the country. It’s a perfect place to play for the tour.”
Tickets for the exhibition game will be available Nov. 19 on RollTide.com.
“It’s such an honor for our program to get to play the 2020 Olympic team,” Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy added in the release. “We are thrilled to welcome them to the Rhoads House in March. It means even more to have Haylie McCleney playing at home one more time roaming centerfield in front of her fans.”
Other "Stand Beside Her" tour stops that have been announced by USA Softball include Feb. 7-9 in Florida and Feb. 20-23 in California.
