USA Softball Announces Second Texas Tour Stop

USA Softball announced its second "Stand Beside Her" tour stop in Texas on Monday.
The stop, which will take place April 18 in Sugar Land, Texas, will feature one exhibition contest between Team USA and an undisclosed opponent. Tickets are slated to go on sale Dec. 1.
"It's obviously exciting for me personally to get to play at home, but Houston is a hotbed for softball," Houston native and Team USA pitcher Cat Osterman said in a release. "It shows in the reception we get every time we play there."
The day following Team USA's exhibition game in Sugar Land, Texas, its members will participate in a clinic for local youth softball players.
Other "Stand Beside Her" tour stops that have been announced by USA Softball include Feb. 7-9 in Florida, Feb. 20-23 in California, March 31 in Alabama, April 3 and 5 in Georgia, April 25 in Midland, Texas, June 9-10 in Michigan and June 25 in Virginia.
The main message of the 2020 U.S. Olympic softball team's "Stand Beside Her" tour is unity, as the U.S. squad begins its quest for an Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo Games.
In July, softball will make its first appearance at the Olympic Games since 2008, with the gold-medal contest scheduled for July 28.
