USA Softball Announces Oregon Tour Stop

USA Softball announced a "Stand Beside Her" tour stop in Oregon on Monday.
The stop will take place March 18 at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene, Ore. and feature two exhibition contests. The first game will take place between Team USA and Southern Oregon University, and it will be immediately followed by a contest between the American squad and the University of Oregon.
"I can't explain how excited I am to get to go to Eugene on the 'Stand Beside Her' tour," Team USA member and 2015 Oregon graduate Janie Reed said in a statement. "I never got to play in The Jane and I already know it's going to be an emotional experience getting to wear the USA uniform on that field and in that stadium, especially in front of the best fans in the world."
Other "Stand Beside Her" tour stops that have been announced by USA Softball include Feb. 7-9 in Florida, Feb. 20-23 in California, March 31 in Alabama, April 3 and 5 in Georgia, April 7 and May 30 in Tennessee, April 18 and 25 in Texas, June 9 and 10 in Michigan and June 25 in Virginia.
The main message of Team USA's tour is unity, as the national team begins its quest for a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Next summer, softball will make its first appearance at the Olympics since 2008, with the gold-medal game scheduled for July 28.
