USA Softball Announces Missouri Tour Stop

USA Softball announced a "Stand Beside Her" tour stop in Missouri on Wednesday.
The stop will take place June 3 at Killian Softball Stadium in Springfield, Mo. and it will include an exhibition doubleheader against undisclosed opponents.
"We are so excited to be heading to Springfield, Missouri for a stop on the 'Stand Beside Her' tour," Team USA member Valerie Arioto said in a statement. "Missouri is playing an instrumental role in hosting and facilitating our training in pursuit of a gold medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. There is no doubt that Missouri will bring a great atmosphere and the fans will be a vital part of our journey."
Other "Stand Beside Her" tour stops that have been announced by USA Softball include Feb. 7-9 in Florida, Feb. 20-23 in California, March 18 in Oregon, March 31 and April 1 in Alabama, April 3 and 5 in Georgia, April 7 and May 30 in Tennessee, April 18 and 25 in Texas, June 9 and 10 in Michigan and June 25 in Virginia.
The main message of Team USA's tour is unity, as the women's national softball team begins its quest for a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo.
In July, softball will make its first appearance at the Olympics since 2008. The gold-medal contest is scheduled for July 28.
