USA Softball Announces Louisiana Tour Stop

USA Softball announced a "Stand Beside Her" tour stop in Louisiana on Friday.
The stop will take place April 15 at Cargill Park in Shreveport, La. and include two exhibition games. The first contest will feature a matchup between Team USA and Louisiana Tech, which will be followed by a game between the American squad and Louisiana-Monroe.
"It's exciting that the game gets to take us to so many new places and Shreveport is a new one for me," Team USA member Aubree Munro said in a statement. "The south has become home for me so I'm excited to see new faces supporting USA Softball."
Other "Stand Beside Her" tour stops that have been announced by USA Softball include Feb. 7-9 in Florida, Feb. 20-23 in California, March 17 and 18 in Oregon, March 31 and April 1 in Alabama, April 3 and 5 in Georgia, April 7 and May 30 in Tennessee, April 18 and 25 in Texas, June 3 in Missouri, June 9 and 10 in Michigan and June 25 in Virginia.
The main message of Team USA's tour is unity, as the team begins its journey for a gold medal at the Summer Games in Tokyo.
In July, softball will make its first appearance at the Olympics since 2008. The gold-medal game is scheduled for July 28.
