USA Softball Announces Connecticut Tour Stop

USA Softball has announced a "Stand Beside Her" tour stop in Connecticut.
The stop will take place on June 19 at Frank DeLuca Hall of Fame Field in Stratford, Conn. and feature an exhibition doubleheader between Team USA and the historic Stratford Brakettes.
"We are excited to be able to play in the city of Stratford," Team USA member Ally Carda said in a release. "We know the long history of the Stratford Brakettes and the impact they have had on women's softball. We look forward to the city of Stratford being able to come and watch the best of the best play great softball."
Other "Stand Beside Her" tour stops that have been announced by USA Softball include Feb. 7-9 in Florida, Feb. 18 in Arizona, Feb. 20-23 in California, March 8 and 10 in California, March 17 and 18 in Oregon, March 31 and April 1 in Alabama, April 3 and 5 in Georgia, April 7 and May 30 in Tennessee, April 15 in Louisiana, April 18, 21-23 and 25 in Texas, May 1 and 3 in Missouri, May 17 in California, June 3 in Missouri, June 7 in Ohio, June 9 and 10 in Michigan, June 18 in Massachusetts, June 21 in New Jersey, June 23 in Maryland and June 25 in Virginia.
The main message of Team USA's "Stand Beside Her" tour is unity, as the U.S. women's national softball team begins its quest for a gold medal at the 2020 Olympics.
In July, softball will make its first appearance at the Summer Games since 2008. The gold-medal game is scheduled for July 28.
