USA Softball Announces Arizona Tour Stop

USA Softball has announced a "Stand Beside Her" tour stop in Arizona.
The stop will take place February 18 at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz. and feature an exhibition game between Team USA and the Wildcats. It will also serve as a homecoming for current Team USA and Arizona catcher Dejah Mulipola, who is redshirting the 2020 season in order to prepare for the Tokyo Olympics.
"I am so excited to return to Tucson, which I consider my second home," Mulipola said in a release. "The fans are the best part about playing at Rita Hillenbrand and me returning on a different team will be a bittersweet feeling because I will be on the other side. However, I am excited to take the field with Team USA and play against my college teammates as well as Coach Candrea, who I hope to make proud on this journey to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan."
Other "Stand Beside Her" tour stops that have been announced by USA Softball include Feb. 7-9 in Florida, Feb. 20-23 in California, March 17 and 18 in Oregon, March 31 and April 1 in Alabama, April 3 and 5 in Georgia, April 7 and May 30 in Tennessee, April 15 in Louisiana, April 18 and 25 in Texas, May 1 and 3 in Missouri, June 3 in Missouri, June 9 and 10 in Michigan, June 21 in New Jersey and June 25 in Virginia.
The main message of the "Stand Beside Her" tour is unity, as Team USA begins its quest for a gold medal at the 2020 Olympics.
In July, softball will make its first appearance at the Summer Games since 2008. The gold-medal contest is scheduled for July 28.
