Top Five College Teams Of The Decade: No. 4 Alabama

Who can forget the 2012 Women's College World Series (WCWS) Championship Series? The Alabama Crimson Tide versus the Oklahoma Sooners. Multiple rain delays. Three wild games to decide a national champion.
After it was all said and done, Alabama emerged as the victors that year, capturing the program's first national championship, as well as the SEC's first softball national title.
While that national championship would be the only one the Crimson Tide would capture during the 2010 decade, they made six WCWS appearances in that stretch. Alabama also advanced to the NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals all 10 years of the decade, while also capturing the SEC Tournament title twice and the SEC regular-season championship five times.
For these reasons and more, Alabama is Softball America's fourth-best college softball program of the decade.
