SWAC Suspends Softball

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) has suspended all athletic activities until March 31 due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, the league announced Thursday.
The conference is now the 15th Division-I league to have its spring sports impacted by COVID-19. The CAA, Pac-12, SEC, WAC, NEC, Missouri Valley, Big West, Mountain West, Southland, Summit, ACC and Conference USA announced they would suspend their spring sports on Thursday, while the Ivy League and Patriot League both canceled their spring seasons outright.
Ten Division-I softball teams compete in the SWAC.
