SPC Elite Invitational Top Performances From Saturday

James Madison

Kate Gordon slugged four home runs in four consecutive at bats on Saturday. Her first one came against Florida Atlantic in the seventh inning.  Her first at bat against Tennessee, she sent a ball to the wall for an inside-the-park home run, the next two against Tennessee set a single-game program record for home runs (three). Gordon finished the day 7-for-8.

Megan Good also homered in both games for the Dukes and got the win in the circle against No. 6 Tennessee.

Florida State

The No. 1 Seminoles finished Saturday as the only remaining undefeated team in the tournament. FSU run-ruled No. 13 LSU 9-1 in six innings and then took down No. 22 Minnesota 17-6 in the nightcap.

Freshman Kathryn Sandercock improved her record to 4-0 with the win over Minnesota.

Jordan Dail

The Oregon sophomore threw her first career no-hitter against FAU Saturday morning. She scatter four walks and nine strikeouts across seven innings. She faced 25 batters and threw 131 pitches. It was her fifth win of the season.

Mallory Peyton

Kentucky's Mallory Peyton was 3-for-7 with two clutch home runs, four RBIs and three runs scored. Her first home run came in the top of the seventh against No. 7 Texas to tie the game at 3-3. The second home run sent the 'Cats home in run-rule walk-off fashion against No. 18 Oregon.

Cal

Down by four in the bottom of the seventh against Notre Dame, the Golden Bears stunned the Irish to tie the game and they would go on to win it in extras. Lindsay Rood was 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Zoe Conley got the win in relief of Kamalani Dung. Conley gave up two hits and one earned run in five innings of work.
