SEC Announces Preseason Coaches' Poll

The SEC released its preseason coaches' poll on Wednesday and tabbed defending champion Alabama as its top team heading into the 2020 college softball season.
The Crimson Tide will return 13 players from the 2019 championship squad, which includes reigning SEC Pitcher of the Year Sarah Cornell, SEC Freshman of the Year Montana Fouts and All-SEC selections Elissa Brown, Bailey Hemphill, Maddie Morgan and Skylar Wallace.
The SEC poll had Tennessee as its preseason No. 2, with LSU, Kentucky and Florida rounding out the top five, respectively. The poll's subsequent teams included Georgia, Arkansas, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Missouri, Auburn, Mississippi State and Texas A&M.
