The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has revealed the softball schedule for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Softball competition at the Tokyo Games, which is set to begin on July 22, will kick off this summer's Olympic program and conclude on July 28 with the gold- and bronze-medal games at Yokohama Stadium. The first two days of games will take place at Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium, while the final four days of competition will occur at Yokohama Stadium.

The 17-game schedule features contests between the six teams that are set to participate in softball competition at the 2020 Olympics, including Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, Mexico and USA.

Each of the six teams will face each other once in the opening round of play from July 22 through July 27. On July 28, the top two teams from the opening round will then compete for the gold medal, while the teams in third and fourth place will play for the bronze.

Games are not scheduled for July 24, since that is the date of the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
