NPF Power Rankings: Chicago Bandits Make A Statement

Last week's National Pro Fastpitch action created some movement within our power rankings, as the Pride and Bandits remained hot, while the Comets and Eagles started to heat up a bit themselves.
See who both excelled and underperformed in this week's NPF power rankings.
1. USSSA Pride
Though they had the weekend off, the Pride swept the Comets earlier in the week in a four-game series to hold steady atop our power rankings. USSSA's week was highlighted by a ridiculous catch in right field by Nicole Pendley on Thursday, which landed on SportsCenter's Top 10 as the No. 3 play of the night.
2. Chicago Bandits
As the winners of six straight games, the Bandits have appeared to hit their stride. Chicago will look to add to its statement stretch in the final two games of its set with the Wild on Monday night.
3. Canadian Wild
Despite the Wild's struggles in their series against the Bandits, Janet Leung has been a wall at shortstop for the Canadian squad. She put on a defensive clinic for her team over the weekend.
4. Cleveland Comets
The Comets have won three straight after taking the first three contests of their four-game series with the Peppers.
5. Beijing Eagles
The Eagles also had the weekend off, but had a productive week beforehand against the Aussies to move up one spot in our power rankings. The Beijing squad took five of six over the Peppers last week, which included a perfect-game performance in the circle from Wang Lan last Monday. The Eagles outscored the Peppers 33–10 in that series.
6. Aussie Peppers
The Peppers have lost 14 of their last 15 games, but have a chance to get back on track this week with a five-game set versus the Wild.
