National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) has partnered with the She Plays fantasy sports platform, the league announced Friday.

According to an NPF press release, the league's partnership will allow professional softball to be offered to fantasy sports players in the U.S. once the 2020 season begins in April.

"We know that women represent over a third of the fifty million plus fantasy sports participants and we know that softball is a fun and exciting sport in which to participate," NPF Commissioner Cheri Kempf said in a league press release. "This partnership with She Plays will enable us to blend our players and fans like never before, and allow our fans to have an elevated participation experience. We are both proud and excited to launch this product with the enablement of She Plays and we look forward to watching this product grow."

With its partnership, the league will receive a share of the revenue generated from NPF play on the She Plays platform as well as promotion on the platform's weekly podcast.

"We are incredibly excited to partner with the NPF to provide fantasy sports to their fans," She Plays CEO Ashley Hart said in the press release. "The NPF is a long-standing professional league in the United States that is home to the best softball players in the world. We are so excited to partner with the league to continue engaging longtime fans and help bring in new fans through a fantasy sports offering."

The 2020 NPF schedule is set to be released later this month.
