The Missouri Valley (MVC), Big West, Mountain West and Southland Conferences have suspended their spring sports due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, the league announced Thursday.

The conferences are now the ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th Division-I leagues to have their spring sports impacted by COVID-19. The CAAPac-12, SECWAC, NEC and Conference USA announced they would suspend their spring sports on Thursday, while the Ivy League and Patriot League both canceled their spring seasons outright.

Ten Division-I softball teams compete in the MVC, eight compete in the Big West, nine compete in the Mountain West and 12 compete in the Southland.
