College Softball's Top First Basemen Entering 2021

The NCAA is loaded with talented first basemen, as the position is an essential part of a good lineup—and a secure defense—on any college softball team.
As we look ahead to the 2021 college softball season, we at Softball America are taking some time to examine a handful of the top college players at each position on the field.
See below for three of the best first basemen in the college game today.
Bailey Hemphill
Senior, Alabama
Hemphill makes a lot of noise with her bat, but she can also get it done with her glove at first base. During the shortened 2020 season, Hemphill made just one error in 152 chances. Throughout Alabama's 2019 WCWS season, she made just two mistakes in 332 attempts. Expect much of the same from Hemphill in 2021.
Delanie Wisz
Redshirt Junior, UCLA
Delanie Wisz certainly has been getting better and better as time has gone by. After two years at Loyola Marymount, Wisz transferred to UCLA before the 2020 season and quickly became reliable both with her bat and at first base for the Bruins. She only had one error in 2020, and will look to be just as dependable for UCLA at first base in 2021.
Kendyl Lindaman
Senior, Florida
Lindaman is best known for her monster bat, but she is also a force at first base for the Gators. In 2020, Lindaman was solid, as she had just one error in 187 chances. Lindaman also had just one error as a junior in 2019, which makes us believe she will continue her consistency in 2021 for Florida.
