American Suspends Softball

The American Athletic Conference (AAC) has suspended all athletic activities until further notice due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, the league announced Thursday.
The conference is now the 17th Division-I league to have its spring sports impacted by COVID-19. The CAA, Pac-12, SEC, WAC, NEC, Missouri Valley, Big West, Mountain West, Southland, Summit, ACC, SWAC and Conference USA announced they would suspend their spring sports on Thursday, while the Ivy League, Patriot League and MAAC all canceled their spring seasons outright.
