Team USA's Ali Aguilar will play in her first Olympic Games this week when she takes the field in Tokyo. Aguilar, an All-American infielder at Washington, is also set to play in her first season as a member of the Athletes Unlimited professional softball league at the end of the summer.

The 25-year-old has plenty of international softball experience that dates back to before her college days when she was a member of the U.S. junior women's national team.

She spoke with SA about what she is looking forward to in Tokyo, how the pandemic actually helped Team USA's dynamic, what softball fans should expect to see from the American squad on the field at the Olympics and plenty more.

Watch below for Softball America's interview with Aguilar, presented by Mizuno.
