2023 NCAA Most Improved Player: Tennessee's McKenna Gibson

Tennessee's McKenna Gibson is Softball America's NCAA Most Improved Player for the 2023 college softball season.
Gibson, a sophomore in 2023, recorded career-best marks in average (.362), OPS (1.232), runs (36), hits (59), doubles (11), home runs (15), RBIs (60), slugging (.718), walks (39) and on-base percentage (.514) this spring.
SA's 2023 Second-Team All-America selection at first base batted .253 as a freshman in 2022. She went on to end the 2023 season with a 23-game reached-base streak and posted 14 multi-RBI contests throughout the campaign.
This year, Gibson helped lead the Lady Vols to the Women's College World Series for the first time since 2015.
