2020 NCAA Transfer Of The Year: Baylee Klingler

At Texas A&M last season, Baylee Klingler earned All-SEC Freshman Team honors. However, Klingler felt there was still more out there for her college experience. After entering the transfer portal, she found her home at Washington in 2020.
There were struggles for the sophomore infielder at the start of her tenure with the Huskies in 2020, but everything changed after a hitless day against Wisconsin on Feb. 21. In the season’s final 13 games, Klingler’s batting average rose from .270 to .481. In that span, she also drove in 21 runs, and had a RBI in every game but one from Feb. 28 through the end of the abbreviated campaign.
In total, Klingler finished with a .481 batting average, five home runs, 33 RBI and a 1.296 OPS. She either led the Huskies or came in second in all those categories this season.
The sophomore appears to have found the perfect program for her in Seattle.
