2020 NCAA Player Of The Year: Miranda Elish

Miranda Elish of Texas is Softball America's NCAA Player of the Year for the abbreviated 2020 college softball season.
The senior did it with the bat and in the circle for the Longhorns during the 23 games she played in 2020. Elish batted .370 on the year with seven doubles, four home runs and 19 RBI, while also serving as the Longhorns' ace. Her 11 wins were the most of any pitcher in the Big 12, and she ranked sixth in victories in the NCAA. Elish also posted a 1.25 ERA for the campaign with 96 strikeouts in 84 innings of work.
She started her senior season with a bang at the plate, hitting four home runs and collecting 17 RBI over six games in the first weekend of the year. Elish later went on to toss a perfect game against New Mexico and was the only pitcher to beat UCLA in 2020.
Luckily for softball fans, it appears Elish will be back next year for the Longhorns, who finished as SA's No. 1 team in the final Top 25 poll of the 2020 season.
