One has to wonder if Washington’s Sis Bates has room for another defensive accolade in her bio. Hopefully she does, as she is Softball America’s NCAA Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season.

Though the senior was limited to just 15 games in 2020 due to a concussion, she didn’t commit a single error, had 18 putouts, 33 assists and saved countless runs, including in the clip below to help close out a win for the Huskies over Georgia Tech back on Feb. 8.

Bates’ impact with her glove is arguably the best in recent memory in college softball, thus making her an easy choice for the back-to-back selection.
