2019 NCAA Player of the Year: Rachel Garcia

OKLAHOMA CITY-- Softball America announced UCLA'S Rachel Garcia as the first-ever Softball America NCAA Player of the Year presented by Wilson on Wednesday, May 29.

Garcia, SA's preseason No. 1 in the top 100, leads UCLA with a record of 24-1, a 1.01 earned run average, four saves and 253 strikeouts in 166 innings. She has appeared in 31 games, started 15 and tossed 15 complete games.

Offensively, she is batting .344 with nine homers, 49 runs batted in and 30 walks.

She was also named an SA First-Team All-American earlier Wednesday morning.
