  1. 1

    Jordy Bahl

    2022 stats (as of 2/27/22): 6-0, .96 ERA, 65 SO, 37.2 IP
Notes: The top recruit in the 2021 class has had a strong start in the circle in her freshman campaign. Bahl showed what she’s capable of on opening weekend with a complete-game win over UCLA. Bahl fanned 14 Bruin batters, gave up four hits and didn’t allow an earned run in the contest. This performance led the Papillion, Neb. native to be named the Wilson/NFCA Division I Pitcher of the Week and Big 12 Pitcher of the Week. Bahl also tossed a perfect game against Cal State Fullerton in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.

  2. 2

    Georgina Corrick

    2022 stats (as of 2/27/22): 8-0, .13 ERA, 79 SO, 55 IP
Notes: Corrick has taken full advantage of her extra year of eligibility. The fifth-year player became the American Athletic Conference’s all-time strikeout leader on Feb. 12 in a win against Michigan. Corrick currently has 963 career strikeouts. The Wolverines aren’t the only ranked team Corrick has defeated, as she also downed Oklahoma State in the St. Pete Clearwater Elite Invitational. Corrick has already been named the AAC’s Pitcher of the Week on multiple occasions.

  3. 3

    Montana Fouts

    2022 stats (as of 2/27/22): 6-0, .38 ERA, 66 SO, 37.1 IP
Notes: Fouts was formidable in February. She's recorded double-digit strikeouts in four of her five starts with a season-high of 14. Fouts has two ranked wins on the season coming against Virginia Tech and Louisiana with them both being shutouts. In her win against the Hokies, Fouts didn’t allow a runner to reach second base. The senior has been named the SEC Pitcher of the Week once this season. Opponents are currently batting .111 against her.

  4. 4

    Danielle Williams

    2022 stats (as of 2/27/22): 7-1, .95 ERA, 80 SO, 59 IP
Notes: Williams leads the country in wins over ranked opponents with four—Washington, UCLA, Oregon and Clemson. The left-handed hurler tossed shutouts to all but the Bruins. Williams recorded a double-digit strikeout performance against the Tigers. In the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, Williams only gave up a run in one of her 19 innings pitched with 12 strikeouts.

  5. 5

    Katherine Sandercock

    Florida State

    2022 stats (as of 2/27/22): 8-0, .50 ERA, 42 SO, 41.2 IP
Notes: A big part of Florida State’s run to the national championship series was due to the pitching of Sandercock. And her 2021 postseason dominance has carried over into the first month of the 2022 season. The senior recorded the win in the Sunday night prime-time game against UCLA at the St. Pete Clearwater Invitational. At that same tournament, Sandercock gave up a pair of earned runs in 15.2 inning pitched on her way to becoming the NFCA Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 22.

  6. 6

    Lexi Kilfoyl

    2022 stats (as of 2/27/22): 3-0, 0.36 ERA, 16 SO, 21.2 IP
Notes: Just one month into the season, three of Kilfoyl’s four starts have come against ranked opponents. And the junior hasn’t flinched. Kilfoyl has recorded wins against Virginia Tech, Arizona and Louisiana, allowing just one run. She has yet to give up a home run this season, and has allowed only a pair of doubles.

  7. 7

    Alex Storako

    2022 stats (as of 2/27/22): 7-0, 1.04 ERA, 79 SO, 47.1 IP
Notes: The reigning Big Ten Pitcher of the Year looks to be in midseason form. In three of Storako’s seven wins so far this season, she didn’t allow a run. In the other four wins, the senior only gave up one run. Storako has tallied four double-digit strikeout performances with a season-high 18 in her 2022 debut against Illinois State. The right-hander helped Michigan down Duke and LSU in February.

  8. 8

    Keely Rochard

    Virginia Tech

    2022 stats (as of 2/27/22): 6-1, 1.11 ERA, 88 SO, 50.1 IP
Notes: Rochard finished the 2021 season with the second most strikeouts in the country. Once again, Rochard is racking up the strikeouts, as she leads the country in the statistical category. The reigning ACC Pitcher of the Year has a trio of top-25 wins—Northwestern, Missouri and Kentucky—and tallied double-digit strikeouts in two of those games. Rochard had six double-digit strikeout performances in February with a season-high of 17.

  9. 9

    Danielle Watson

    Florida State

    2022 stats (as of 2/27/22): 6-0, 1.12 ERA, 45 SO, 37.2 IP
Notes: Watson being Sandercock’s counterpart is what makes head coach Lonni Alameda and Florida State have one of the strongest pitching staffs in the country. Watson leads the Florida State staff in strikeouts and has held opponents to a .153 batting average. The graduate student has wins against Michigan and Tennessee so far this season. She threw three shutouts in February.

  10. 10

    Gabbie Plain

    2022 stats (as of 2/27/22): 6-2, 1.30 ERA, 57 SO, 48.1 IP
Notes: The Australia native has been sharp in eight of her nine appearances this season. Plain, who was the 2021 Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year, has recorded a pair of ranked wins—against Arkansas and Tennessee—and six shutouts in February. Plain has the third-most strikeouts in the Pac-12 and has a season-high of 10 fanned batters, which came against Loyola Marymount.
