2020 Big 12 Player Power Rankings

Softball America ranked the Big 12's top 10 players following the shortened 2020 college softball season.

    Miranda Elish

    Texas P
    Notes:

    2020 Stats: 11-3, 1.25 ERA, 96 SO, 84.0 IP / .370 BA, 4 HR, 19 RBI, .722 SLG
    Topping SA's Final Big 12 Player Power Ranking is a Longhorn who can do it all. In addition to finishing the shortened season with a 1.25 ERA and averaging over a strikeout an inning, the senior also hit .370, smashing four home runs and recording 19 RBI.

    Janae Jefferson

    Texas INF
    Notes:

    2020 Stats: .554 BA, .689 SLG, .607 OBP, 6 2B
    Jefferson finished the shortened season leading the Big 12 in batting average. The speedster was also 10-for-10 in stolen base attempts and struck out just four times in 74 plate appearances.

    Alysen Febrey

    Oklahoma State INF
    Notes:

    2020 Stats: .382 BA, .941 SLG .476 OBP, 11 HR, 32 RBI
    The senior was an RBI machine for Oklahoma State in her 24 starts this season. She also finished the year with 11 home runs and five doubles.

    Carrie Eberle

    Notes:

    2020 Stats: 10-1, .46 ERA, 68 SO, 76 IP
    Eberle made a splash in her first year in the Big 12. The transfer led the conference in ERA, wins and shutouts. Opponents also hit the worst against her of any pitcher in the conference with a batting average of just .143.

    Erin Edmoundson

    Texas Tech P
    Notes:

    2020 Stats: 10-4, 1.42 ERA, 93 SO, 78.2 IP
    The junior did it all for Texas Tech. In addition to earning 10 wins in the shortened 2020 season, she also had the second most strikeouts in the conference. To boot, Edmoundson hit .300 for the Red Raiders and recorded three stolen bases.

    Jocelyn Alo

    Oklahoma UTL
    Notes:

    2020 Stats: .427 BA, .813 SLG, .506 OBP, 8 HR, 21 RBI
    Alo was really starting to heat up when the 2020 season came to an abrupt halt. In addition to smacking eight home runs, the junior had 12 walks to boast an impressive .506 on-base percentage.

    Kinzie Hansen

    Oklahoma C
    Notes:

    2020 Stats: .413 BA, .472 OBP, 4 HR, 26 RBI
    The freshman made an immediate impact in her first season as a Sooner. She had the second highest batting average on her team behind Jocelyn Alo, while also producing runs, displaying her power and having a high on-base percentage.

    Grace Lyons

    Notes:

    2020 Stats: .370 BA, 5 HR, 7 2B, 23 RBI
    After impressive freshman season, Lyons continued her success as a sophomore for the Sooners. She finished the 2020 campaign with seven doubles in addition to her four dingers.

    Shelby Gayre

    Kansas C/UTL
    Notes:

    2020 Stats: .393 BA, 1.000 SLG, .507 OBP, 11 HR, 24 RBI
    Gayre tied for the conference lead in home runs and walks, and led the Big 12 outright in slugging percentage. She was third in on-base percentage and sixth in batting average, making her an undeniable threat to opposing teams throughout the shortened season.

    Sami Williams

    Iowa State INF
    Notes:

    2020 Stats: .342 BA, .816 SLG, .438 OBP, 9 HR, 28 RBI
    Williams led her team in batting average, RBI, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. She also had five doubles and 11 walks to go along with her nine home runs during the 2020 campaign.
